The first thing you notice when opening the package is that distinct, real leather smell, no weird chemical or plastic odors at all. The shirt style collar gives this a much sharper look than standard knit bombers, though it takes a couple of days of wear for the leather on the collar to soften up and lay completely flat. It has a great weight to it that sits naturally on your shoulders without pulling back against your throat when zipped down. The matte black finish doesn't look too flashy, making it an easy option to throw on over a plain grey t-shirt when you're just running errands but still want to look put together.

The rounded cuffs have a wide enough opening that they don't pinch your skin or get caught on a thick metal watch band when you check the time.

Having three outside pockets is incredibly convenient. The extra chest pocket means you don't have to crowd your side pockets with a phone, keys and wallet all at once, which usually ruins the silhouette of a leather jacket. The zippers feel sturdy and don't jingle loudly when you're walking. The fit through the torso is straight and clean, avoiding that puffy balloon look that some bombers have around the waistband.

The viscose lining inside is thin but tough. It doesn't trap a ton of body heat, so you can wear this comfortably inside a grocery store or movie theater without sweating.

I was worried the genuine leather would feel too restrictive while driving, but the back panels have enough give that you can reach for the steering wheel without the sleeves pulling halfway up your forearms. The single inside pocket is deep enough to hold a passport or a slim wallet securely. It’s already starting to get some nice, natural creasing around the elbows after just a few days of use, which only makes the leather look better.
