   I’ve had a few leather jackets over the years, but the hide on this one feels significantly more durable. The brown has a deep, natural grain that you just don’t see on mass produced items. I usually take the hood off immediately, the stand up belted collar is the real star here. It gives the jacket a much more structured, expensive look. It’s got that comforting, heavy weight to it that tells you it’s genuine real leather.

   It’s rare to find a jacket where the sleeves hit exactly at the wrist without being too baggy. The button style cuffs keep everything looking clean and professional. It’s a very well proportioned piece that fits a regular frame perfectly.

   The first thing I checked was the stitching around the flap chest pockets and it’s flawless. No loose threads or crooked lines. The viscose lining inside is incredibly smooth, so I can throw this on over a sweater and the sleeves don’t bunch up at the elbows. Even the zipper feels heavy duty, it glides easily and doesn’t catch on the leather. It’s a rugged, no nonsense jacket that’s clearly built to survive a lot of wear.

   I accidentally caught my arm on a sharp metal bracket yesterday and was certain I’d ruined the sleeve. To my surprise, there wasn’t even a scuff. This leather is remarkably tough but still feels supple enough to move around in. The belted collar does a great job of blocking the wind when I’m out walking. It actually looks sharper in person than it does in the professional photos.

   The dark brown shade is exactly what I was looking for. I prefer the look without the hood attached, it makes the silhouette much more streamlined. The leather smells authentic and the fit is spot on. Definitely worth the investment.
