Honestly, the photos don't do the texture justice. In person, you can see the natural grain of the leather. It’s simple, rugged and doesn't have any of that weird chemical smell you get with cheap imports.
I’m a bit of a minimalist, so I hate carrying a bag. The two flap waist pockets are deep enough for my gloves and keys, and the inside pocket is where I tuck my wallet so it’s out of sight. The zipper is chunky and feels like it’s built to last a lifetime. You can really tell someone put effort into the stitching here.
I usually wear a thick flannel or a hoodie under my jackets and usually the sleeves bunch up and get stuck. With this one, the lining is so smooth that everything just slides right on without a struggle. The shirt style collar actually stays flat even when I’m moving around, so I don't have to keep fixing it every time I pass a mirror. Only taking a star off because the real leather was a bit stiff for the first couple of days, but it’s already softening up beautifully and molding to my frame.
Finally, sleeves that fit. I'm a taller guy, so I’m used to my wrists sticking out of my jackets. Not with this one. The full length sleeves are perfect, and I love that they used button style cuffs instead of those itchy elastic ones. It makes the whole silhouette look much cleaner and more professional.
I've bought leather jackets before that felt like paper, but this has some serious soul. The dark brown is a deep, espresso shade that looks incredibly high end. When you're wearing it, you can actually feel the quality, it’s got that comforting weight that settles on your shoulders just right. I wore it out in a light drizzle yesterday and the water beaded right off the real leather. If you want a heritage piece without paying a month's rent, this is it.
