If you live somewhere with weird weather, get this. The relaxed fit means I can easily layer a thick chunky sweater underneath without feeling like a marshmallow. The zipper is smooth as butter and I haven't had any issues with it catching on the inner lining. I personally love the olive color, it pairs perfectly with tan chinos or dark denim. It’s definitely not your average mall jacket, you can feel the quality in the weight of it.
The texture of this waxed leather is incredible. It’s got that slightly tacky, premium feel that you only get with high quality real leather. It’s already starting to develop some cool crease lines at the elbows that give it a lot of personality. I’m a big fan of the stand up collar, it stays upright and doesn't flop over. The viscose lining inside is thin but surprisingly warm, so it doesn't add any bulk to the relaxed silhouette.
Five pockets. That’s the review. Seriously though, having two flap pockets on the chest that actually snap shut is a game changer for my EDC. I keep my AirPods in one and my work ID in the other. The fact that the hood is removable makes this like two jackets in one. I take the hood off when I’m wearing it over a flannel for work and zip it back on for a more streetwear vibe on the weekends. The waxed leather feels thick and durable, like it could handle a scrap without tearing.
The relaxed fit is exactly what I needed. I’m a bigger guy and usually leather jackets feel like a straitjacket, but I can actually move in this. The rib-knitted cuffs are super comfortable and keep the wind from blowing up my sleeves. Solid purchase.
Everyone has a black or brown leather jacket, but this Olive Green is on another level. It’s subtle, almost looks dark grey in low light, but in the sun, that waxed finish really pops. I was worried it might look too military, but it’s actually very stylish. I’ve already had three people ask me where I got it. The belt on the collar is a nice touch, I usually leave it open, and it just adds a cool, rugged detail to the look.
