   Wessel Koster –

   The blue denim on this has a really deep, classic look that reminds me of those old school western jackets. It feels much more solid than a cheap department store version, but the inside lining makes it way more comfortable to wear for a long time. The buttons are heavy duty and don’t feel like they’re going to pop off if I reach for something. I also noticed the shirt style collar stays flat and doesn’t curl up at the edges.

   The fit at the shoulders is just right and the button cuffs are easy to roll up if I want a more casual look. It’s a very tough feeling jacket that still looks sharp with a pair of khakis.

   I really appreciate that the chest pocket is actually deep enough to hold my sunglasses without them falling out when I bend over. There’s also a hidden pocket on the inside which is perfect for keeping my wallet secure while I’m out. The stitching everywhere is very tight and straight, and I didn’t see any loose threads around the buttonholes or the hem. It hangs nicely on the body without being too boxy.

   This denim is surprisingly easy to move in because it isn’t as stiff as I expected. It’s a great weight for a cool afternoon and the blue color goes with just about everything I own.

   The cowboy style gives this a bit of a different vibe than a standard trucker jacket. The sleeves are a good length and the button closure feels very secure when it’s windy. I found the viscose lining makes a huge difference because it doesn’t itch or rub against my arms, even over a thin t-shirt. It’s a very clean, simple piece that feels like it’s built to last for years.
