   I’m a huge fan of 90s fashion and this coat feels like a total throwback to those iconic plaid moments, but with a modern twist. The wide lapel collar gives it such a bold, structured look, it doesn’t feel like a flimsy raincoat at all. I was really worried the Pink Burberry pattern might look a bit too loud, but it’s actually really tasteful and pairs perfectly with black loafers and a turtleneck. It’s got that heavy-duty cotton feel that tells you it’s going to last for years, not just one season.

   Honestly, I bought this for the look, but the pockets are what won me over. Having two outside pockets for my hands and an actual inside pocket for my phone is a game changer. The viscose lining is super smooth, so it doesn’t get stuck on my blazer when I’m heading to work.

   If you want to feel like you’re being photographed by paparazzi, this is the coat. The double breasted buttons give it a very high end, sartorial vibe. I love that the cuffs are adjustable, I usually tighten them up to give the sleeves a bit of a puffed look. It’s definitely a statement, but since the base is a classic trench shape, it still feels sophisticated rather than just trendy.

   I feel like a literal doll in this! The pink is so flattering on my skin tone and the belt actually stays tied without slipping. It’s my favorite way to make a rainy day feel less depressing.

   I’ve had a few trench coats before, but the stitching on this one is really impressive for a celebrity inspired piece. The wide lapels stay flat and don’t curl up, which is a big pet peeve of mine. It fits true to size.
