   I’m usually a hoodie only guy, but I wanted something that looked a bit more put together without being too formal. This canvas jacket is exactly that. It’s got a bit of weight to it, so it actually keeps its shape when you’re walking around, but the quilted interior makes it feel more like a cozy sweatshirt on the inside. I’ve worn it in a light drizzle already and the water just kind of beaded off the canvas, which was a nice surprise. The corduroy collar is a cool touch, it gives it a bit of an old-school workwear feel that goes great with boots.

   Finally, a jacket with pockets deep enough to keep my phone and keys safe. The material is strong, the zipper is smooth and it feels built to last.

   What I like most is the contrast in materials. The outside is that tough, grainy cotton canvas that feels like it could survive a hike, but the inside is that slick quilted fabric that doesn’t catch on your clothes. It’s a great weight for those in between days where a big coat is too much but a t-shirt isn’t enough. The fit is true to size, not too baggy in the waist, which keeps it looking clean. If you’re looking for something rugged but still comfortable, this is a winner.
