Robert De Niro –
I’ll be honest, I debated buying this for a while because of the price, but now that it’s in my hands, I have zero regrets. The leather is thick and has that real weight to it that you just don’t get with cheaper brands. It’s got a gorgeous deep brown color that feels very vintage NYC. The World’s Borough embroidery is clean and doesn’t look cheesy at all, it actually feels like a tribute to Queens. I’ve been wearing it with cream colored hoodies and it’s a total look.

The inner lining is what really sold me. Usually, leather jackets can feel a bit cold or sticky on the inside, but the viscose lining here is so smooth and comfortable. It fits true to size, boxy enough to look cool, but not so big that I look like I’m wearing a costume.

I’m a sucker for small details and the snap over zipper front is a game changer. It keeps the wind out way better than just a zipper alone. The turn down collar stays in place perfectly and doesn’t flap around when I’m walking. Also, a huge shoutout for the rib-knitted cuffs, they are nice and snug, so they don’t slide down over my hands. It just feels like it was designed by someone who actually wears jackets.

I usually only wear black leather, but this brown is so rich and earthy. It’s a nice change of pace. I wore it out to dinner last night and got asked three times where I got it. It’s definitely a head turner without being too much.

Finally, a jacket with decent pockets! The two on the outside are deep enough for my phone and keys without them falling out and the inside pocket is a lifesaver for my wallet. It’s heavy enough to keep you warm on a breezy evening but doesn’t feel like you’re wearing a suit of armor. If you’re into that ALD aesthetic but want something that feels rugged and well made, this is it.
