   I was surprised by the leather sleeves, they are actually soft and high quality. The wool body is thick enough for winter but doesn’t feel heavy.

   I’ve been looking for a decent 1986 Premiers tribute for ages and this varsity jacket nailed it. The contrast between the wool and the leather sleeves gives it that authentic old school rugby league vibe. What I appreciate most is the inner viscose lining, it makes the jacket slide on easily over a hoodie without bunching up. It’s a solid investment for any Eels supporter who misses the glory days.

   I love the retro varsity feel of this. The snap buttons are sturdy and the rib knitted collar keeps its shape. It’s my new go to jacket for game days.

   I bought this for the aesthetic, but I’m keeping it for comfort. The pockets are actually functional, the inside one is deep enough for a large smartphone, which is a huge plus. The rib knitted cuffs are snug but not too tight, so they keep the wind out perfectly. It doesn’t look like a cheap costume; the stitching is clean and the overall silhouette is very sharp. Definitely worth the price for the quality you get.

   I finally treated myself to this jacket and honestly, I haven’t taken it off since it arrived. The way the Blue and Gold spirit comes through in the design is exactly what I was looking for as a fan. My main concern was the wool being scratchy, but it’s actually really soft and not itchy at all. The fit is true to size, giving me just enough room to move around comfortably without looking bulky. Whether I’m heading to the stadium or just grabbing a coffee, it’s a perfect, classy way to represent the Eels.
