   Gene Hackman –

   The first thing I noticed when I put this on was the weight of the denim. It’s thick enough to block the wind but doesn’t feel stiff when I’m driving or reaching for things. The patchwork isn’t just printed on; you can actually feel the different textures of the blue denim pieces. The zipper feels like it’s built to last and I love that the hood doesn’t just flop over my eyes, it actually sits right.

   I wore this out for a few hours today and it’s surprisingly breathable for denim. The elastic at the wrists is great because I can push the sleeves up when I’m eating and they stay exactly where I put them.

   The inside lining is the best part for me. Usually, denim can feel a bit rough against the skin, but the soft viscose inside makes it feel like a regular hoodie. I spent the afternoon walking around in it and never felt restricted in the shoulders. The inside pocket is deep enough that I don’t have to worry about my phone sliding out when I sit down at a cafe.

   The stitching on the patches is really tight and looks professional. I’ve already caught it on a door handle once and it didn’t rip or pull any threads, so the fabric is definitely tough.

   I really like how the different blue tones look in the sunlight, they really pop compared to a flat, single color jacket. It hangs nicely on the body and doesn’t bunch up at the waist when I zip it up. It’s become my go to for when I want to look like I put in some effort without actually having to dress up. The shirt-style feel with the hoodie convenience is a great mix.
