   Burt Reynolds –

   I’ve always liked the look of varsity jackets, but the leather sleeves on this one really make it stand out from my other gear. The wool part is thick and keeps me warm, which was a relief during a late night walk last weekend. I noticed the shirt-style collar gives it a slightly more dressed up vibe compared to the usual ribbed collars, so I can wear it with more than just sweats. The black on black style is exactly what I was looking for.

   I wanted a jacket that wasn’t too flashy but still looked high quality and this Nets jacket definitely fits that. The mix of materials looks really clean in person and I didn’t find any loose threads around the shoulders or the cuffs. The rib knitted cuffs at the wrists are snug enough to keep the wind out without feeling like they’re cutting off my circulation. It’s become my go-to choice when I want to look sharp without trying too hard.

   This has quickly become a favorite in my closet. The leather on the sleeves feels premium and doesn’t have that weird chemical smell some new jackets have. It’s a simple, solid piece that goes with pretty much everything I own.

   The fit turned out to be just right for my build. The two outside pockets are actually positioned at a comfortable height for my hands and the buttons click together firmly. For the price I paid, the quality of the wool and leather feels like a great value.

   The weight of this jacket is what really stands out to me. The wool feels thick and warm, while the leather on the sleeves is much tougher than I expected for a daily layer. I wore it out to a game recently and the rib knitted cuffs did a great job of blocking the wind from blowing up my arms. The shirt-style collar also makes it look a bit more polished than the typical sporty gear I usually wear.

   I really like how the black leather sleeves look with the wool. It’s a heavy jacket, so it actually keeps me warm when I’m out late. The collar is shaped like a shirt, which I think looks a bit nicer than the usual stretchy collars you see on most varsity jackets. I’ve worn it a few times now and the snap buttons feel very solid and don’t pop open when I move around.

   The fit is just right, not too big and not too tight. It’s comfortable enough to wear all day and the inside lining is really smooth so it doesn’t itch at all.

   One thing I noticed is that the cuffs at the wrists stay nice and snug. They don’t get all stretched out even if I push them up my arms for a bit. The two pockets on the outside are at a good height for my hands and I found a hidden pocket on the inside that’s perfect for keeping my phone safe. It feels like a high quality piece that isn’t going to fall apart after a few wears.

    I usually just grab this whenever I’m heading out the door now. It’s warm enough for a chilly evening, but I don’t feel like I’m overheating when I’m inside. The sleeves are the perfect length for me and don’t bunch up at my elbows. I was worried about the wool being scratchy, but with the soft lining inside, it feels great even over a t-shirt.
