   I’ve never seen a puffer that looks like a varsity jacket before, but it works so well. The parachute material has a cool, matte finish that doesn’t look like a cheap plastic bag. It’s my new favorite for rainy days because the water just beads right off.

   Most puffers make you look like a giant marshmallow, but the ribbed waist on this one keeps the shape looking sharp. It’s warm enough for a cold morning but light enough that I don’t overheat the second I walk into a store.

   The first thing I checked was the inner lining. It’s that really smooth viscose that feels almost like silk. You can wear it with a tank top or short sleeves and you won’t feel any rough edges or itchy stitching.

   I’m usually careful with snap buttons, but these are heavy duty. They have a loud snap and don’t feel like they’ll pull through the fabric. The hidden pocket is deep enough that my phone doesn’t create a weird bump on the outside, which I really appreciate.
